Hookahville History!
That's Right. Fall Hookahville 2004 has been shot, canned, prepped
for edit, and is destined for "classic" status in JamCam's inaugural
season's historical archives. The DVD will feature no less than five song
performances from Ekoostik Hookah themselves (after all, it is their festival!)
including one accompanied by guitar legend Dickey Betts! Sandwiched amidst
a hefty helping of Hookah, will be incredible performances by none other
than Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Bernie Worrell and the Woo Warriors,
Hayseed Dixie, The Stringtown Pickers and Brando's Bluegrass Band. Behind
the "Scene" features will include looks at the traditional "Bugs
in Your Teeth" motorcycle ride to Hookahville, Hookah Fans for Food,
and a hysterical golf-cart tour of the grounds with members of the band.
Tagged for late November/early December shipment, the Hookahville DVD
will drop just in time to make the perfect holiday gift for any "jam
fan." Pre-Order
now!

Hookahville & Ripplefest Added to Roster!
Ekoostik Hookah's annual spring and fall "Hookahville"
Festivals are the stuff of legend! Over the years, everyone from Ricky
Skaggs to Ratdog has graced the stage, and you never know who might share
it with the boys. This year's fall event (Sept. 3-4/www.hookahville.com)
is no exception, with Dickey Betts and Great Southern, Karl Denson's Tiny
Universe and the Funky Meters just some of the possibilities! A hefty
helping of Hookah is planned for the DVD, and we'll announce soon who
else is on board!
Steadily becoming the stuff
of future legend itself, Fall Ripplefest (Sept. 17-18/www.campjam.com)
has also been added to the JamCam roster! After a highly successful spring
event, Festival Coordinator Carol Huff and Marketing and Grassroots Promotions
Director Matt Ward have invited JamCam to film the fall festivities. Modern
day legends The Recipe will headline the weekend, and a bevy of up-and-coming
talent will also be making their mark. Gatherings like Fall Ripplefest
give us at JamCam the opportunity to share with you the more intimate
side of the festival experience while giving the bands of tomorrow a chance
today, and that's what it's really all about. JamCam Subscribers
will find gems like this to be a nice surprise!
We'll be announcing the final
festival of our first season in short time. Stay tuned!
